Yes Sir, have very close Friends who do a sheeps head every Maundy Thursday.
It will be on the center of the table and they eat every part of it.

I enjoy the washing of the feet, not the sheep but a priest or patron of Family.
Tonight is The Last Supper.
Tomorrow Good Friday and the stations of The Cross will be the event, menu will be Fish.

Another one where Nana's Neapolitan pronunciation isn't close to the written Italian. I LOVE eating "CAH-BOOT-SELL", but now with "scrapies" linked with CWD, Mad Cow and other prion-related disease, you can't get them anymore, nor sheep brains. Oh well another childhood dining memory, like flounder fillets, lost in time...

On a related note, 40 years ago or so if you were in Athens Greece, there were street shops all over that sold only roasted lambs' heads, oh yummie!!!!
