Pretty sure in Brookhaven it should be OK but subject to same rules as sheds as far as setbacks from property lines and if a permit is needed based on total SF

I just got home to find the town was patching potholes on my street. They patched a patch meanwhile Rt 111 will shake your teeth out of your head

I’m not familiar with the county’s or your towns codes concerning that but very often even temporary containers have some restrictions, and time allowances. I’ve have used them on commercial property’s in NY and NJ, with restrictions, and overseas construction without restrictions.
