The New York Yankees

As a superstitious fan, I’ve held off on starting a 2024 Yankees thread—clearly, that strategy hasn’t worked.

So, I’m calling on the NYAngler juju to turn the tide!

Let’s go, Yankees!

I was wondering where you guys were hiding.

Unfortunately, the chose the wrong time for the bats to go cold. Painful to watch. How do you give Freeman anything near the strike zone?
They are lifeless. No spark. Dugout looks like a waiting room of nervous expectant fathers.

I think Boone may be in trouble after the way they have played through the playoffs. They made numerous running mistakes and then that stupid play that cost them the first game in this series.

I'm not a quitter but this is one mountain to high to climb.

been a fan during the horendous years of Horace Clarke, Andy Cosko, Jake Gibbs as well as at the end of Mickey's years.
This has been a horror show, but it started during the summer months, had a brief respite when the Orioles also unraveled, and pitiful since September. The Royals and Indians/Guardians must be thinking and rightfully so how much better they would be doing.

Nonsense!

The Yankees were superior to the Royals and Guardians.

The Dodgers are showing that they are the best team in baseball.

The Yankees aren't giving the series away. The Dodgers are taking it!

Not saying the Yankees weren't better than Cleveland or Kansas City. Saying that Ramirez and Witt Jr et al must be thinking that. Have Judge from July and it could have been a different series. Yankee baserunning, when they do get on, is a sight to behold. Worst in baseball and that is just a basic skill that the majority of them seem to have shelved or never had. Can only wonder what Soto is really thinking about now.

No one has mentioned it but Freeman hits game winning GS and they don't put him on his ass in the next game?

Bottom line, Hal Steinbrenner is content being there and cashing in.

Good God. Almost embarassed to be a fan of NY sport teams. How drunk does one have to be to grab an outfielder's gloved hand, pry the glove open while trapping the outfielder's hand above the wall, and then fling the ball out? I certainly hope the two miscreants involved get more than a mere escort out of the stadium. Asshats.

Now that was a ball game; but not how I wanted it to end. Fifth inning 😩Catcher’s interference 🤔 Nonetheless LA was the better team.

The single biggest meltdown in Yankee history and perhaps baseball history and all you come up with is catchers interference?

Pathetic choke job is what it was!

Little league 101 mistakes.

It was in their hands and they collectively choked. Hard to watch.

I'm not saying it was and I'm not saying it wasn't. But this whole series had a bad ring to it. Last night especially just seemed like the BlackSox scandal revisited. How do you have a fifth inning like that? Judge never misses a fly ball like that. And on a grounder to first, how does Cole just stand there and point to first base? It just seems like ever since there was so much legalized gambling in sports, the games have all had a strange odor to them. Call me a conspiracy theorist if you like but last night especially seemed like a pre-arranged dive. And BTW, I couldn't care less who won and who lost. I'm a Mets fan with no use for the Yankees and a hatred for the Dodgers ever since they left Brooklyn.

That's an interesting take.........I just think after Judge dropped the routine fly ball, the team got REALLY tight. Mental stress causes physical mistakes.

I agree. Hate the Dodgers more than Yankees
