The Onancock Chronicles the Eastern shore

We had 3 to 4 inches of rain yesterday & are getting pummeled by some fierce 40 to 50 MPH southwest winds today which is pushing the Bay inland.. The Onancocnk Wharf/Marina in under water.

Went to check on Mack & Capt13 property just about at high tide.
John - you know the score on your place - we spoke.
Macks - road into Schooner Bay was under about a foot of water. Made it through - you look ok - water at the top of your bulkhead.

John - good thing you stayed away from that house down on Schooner Bay. House & driveway in looked to be the only thing above water. House was an "Island onto Itself".

"...........signing off from Onancock - this is Les Nessman."

Gonna go down to the Local Bookstore & pick this up tomorrow. Couple of people have mentioned it to me.

With family living on the Eastern Shore I visit often, but bypass all of the small towns on my way up route 13. I love the Eastern Shore and it is a totally different world! This book opened up many future adventures for our family because of the detailed descriptions and history of each town.
