Sitting on the back porch enjoying the quiet ....... just watched an Osprey dive and grab a fish. No big deal ...... then a bald eagle came out of nowhere, dive bombed the Osprey. The Osprey dropped the fish and the eagle swooped in and picked it up ! Pretty cool !

just received an email from the Mayor - there's some sort of emergency Town Council meeting scheduled on ZOOM for 12 & they want me on there


Don't now what it being called for - but I'm not on the Town Council. That's an elected position.

Anyone ever use ZOOM? Getting on looks a bit complicated..

Yes, and I thought it was a perfect microcosm of our political system. The tax payer (Osprey) works his butt off to make a living (catch a fish). Then the Government (Eagle) swoops in with taxes (stealing the fish).

The second the Government sits gets the money, the Lobbyists (Seagulls) surround it to get their share...

went out this morning ..... marked some fish on an underwater point that necked down the main creek channel. looked good. Hooked up what first felt like an old rope. After about twenty minutes (15lb test on light spinning rod) netted a 20 pond plus Cow Nosed Ray. That was a first for me.

Was going to give it a try today but the wind wouldn't let up. Replaced the well expansion tank instead. Supposed to be blowing pretty hard northeast tomorrow. Might be ok in the lee of a Finneys and Parkers Islands.

about 3/4 winters ago - the Bay froze over & there was no way to get supplies, food, mail, etc. to Tangier - they were completely cut off - Army Corp of Engineers had to send in icebreakers to open a pathway to the island - that was a cold winter for down here

I got out yesterday Macks, no specs for me. Fished around Parkers Island. Did get my first VA keeper bass just over 20".

Nice that's a start anyway,I found the best time for specs is sunrise to a hour after on a high tide..

somebody built a cabin out on Chesapeake bay on pilings ..... only can get there by boat. Pretty cool. Solar panels and a couple of Adirondack chairs on the deck
