Just successfully completed a battle royal with Instagram. A major source of the AM Lovelies I post come from their Instagram accounts, where I pluck out the links to the photos using a Right Click and loading "Vies page source". This makes for easier posting by using the URL.

Well overnight they've changed the format of the results of "Inspect page source" and hidden the direct links, burying them in hundreds of lines of code and putting some false characters into the links. It took me about an hour, but I've figured it out so we're talking a 3 minute process with the new bolluxed system as opposed to a 1 min process the old way. The silver lining is my ability to pick out individual photos in a set which I was unable to do before, only being able to post the first photo so it was a good effort.

In the slim case any of you out there caring about this, here's an example of the new "encrypted code", which is an invalid web address:

https:\/\/scontent-lga3-1.cdninstagram.com\/vp\/9be0fc57ac42fdfc160213ae32ec7f32\/5E500FBA\/t51.2885-15\/e35\/p1080x1080\/69914400_382493342697505_8839730411408319269_n.jpg?_nc_ht=scontent-lga3-1.cdninstagram.com&_nc_cat=101

But when you convert all the "\/" to "/" you get this legit URL:

Which equals this:

Working like a demon so I can try a spot clamming later. We're having one of those HUGE King Tides today and I'll be able to walk out to an area that I think I saw a chowdah clam come off my anchor when I shook it to get the mud off of it. It would be nice to find some quahogs here...

Mission accomplished!! Only took 9 summers, but I finally found a place to dig hard shell clams in "da hood", right were I had seen one in the mud my anchor pulled up. Once I found the exact type of bottom they liked, I dug up 1 1/2 dozen chowdahs and 2 dozen mixed necks and cherry stones in 45 min, using a plain forked hoe. As a bonus it seems that the blood worms like the same bottom as the clams!!

Santa's going to bring me a real clam rake for Christmas...
