Time too ride

must be some sort of bike rally going on somewhere near herethis weekend - I've been seeing bikes everywhere - just came back from the County Dump (rotten 2X10's to get rid of) & group that had to number 100 to 150 bikers were headed in the other direction - toward North Carolina

Maybe?

Are you near the smokies?
apprently they're in North Carolina which is the next state south of me - that's where the rally link I posted above is saying - lot of peeps cut through here rather then going around the Chesapeake to get to North & South Carolina & Outer Banks in North Carolina - Rt13 on the Eastern Shore is a short cut from the Tri-State area

only thing that explains the large number bikers I've seen this weekend

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is located in western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee, and covers 520,000 acres (800 square miles). The Smoky Mountains are known for the blue mist that always seems to hover around the peaks and valleys.

Seems a bit out of the way to go down the coast

it's pretty much a direct drop south to North Carolina - otherwise you'd need to go much further west to go around the Chesapeake Bay probably adding an extra hour - hour & 1/2 to the trip having to also skirt Washington with its traffic

the body of water to the left side of the picture is the Chesapeake Bay - so you'd go all the way west to only have to come back east again

so where is the rally?

look I'm not getting into a pissing match with you because frankly it's not worth my time............................

I've been seeing a shitload of bikers here on the Shore this weekend - I speculated why - saw that there was a rally in North Carolina figured maybe that's why. You don't wanna go with that fine! I really don't give a flying fuck.

When my family gets together at the Outer Banks (which we will be doing again this July ) my brothers from Stamford & Nissequoge all come down the Eastern Shore because it's the shortest route.

So please forgive me for posting something about it.

@cany Yesterday I saw about 50 bikers heading North on US 1. I couldn't figure out where they were going, maybe Mt. Sutton in Quebec? Some did have Canadian Flags decals on their bikes.

If you don't know where they were headed, I'm sure our new resident biker Road Captain does... ;););)

Do we need to get the expo pass parking passes for Americade? So we can park in town at any metered spot or next to the demo bike section. plus access to the expo
Its $109.....otherwise have to find metered spots and pay separate
