Twin 7+ lbers and a savage bite!

Last night we had Captain Tom Buckley of the @orientstarcharters , his wife Jen and their daughters Makayla and Stella.

Tom started off off with a solid 4 + lb keeper but the action wasn’t what we were looking for. We made a move and had SAVAGE action but it was all shorts to 18 1/2 inches. Was about to join most of the other boats in the channel but we made a small move and it paid off big time.

The wind was a light cool breeze and we had the part of the tide they have been really chewing on.

Tom hooked into another solid keeper of 4 1/2 pounds , with his daughter upping him with another closer to 5.

Then Tom hooked into something he couldn’t move off the bottom. As it finally started to move , and it came to the surface we realized it was a a very good fish, it played peek a boo under the boat a few times, making the deaf sing before we were able to guide it into the net. A MOST EXCELLENT 25 3/4 inch, 7 1/2 POUND moriches bay summer flounder. ( Tying our largest for the season !)

We reset the drift and his wife Jen hooked into another good fish. She was able to land a 25 inch 7 1/4 POUND FLUKE! The INSANE bite continued into the dark and the family went home with some real quality skinny water fluke!

All fish were caught on @lookoutcustomrods light spinning rods especially made for this type of fishing.

Once again right time, right place and right conditions. This family knew how to fish and bounced their jigs and rigs and casted out when they had to.

Thanks again guys for an awesome trip!

Very limited availability for the remaining fluke season.
