I am looking forward to a good game and hoping for the same but recognize this is a major opportunity for St Johns to make a statement on a nationally televised late season game that will draw alot of attention

so my first reaction was to emphatically say F U ! !
what a classless dick thing to say

…but then I thought about it and have a much better response
my son came home from UConn last night as he turned 21 on monday
we went to the local dive bar and we had our first legal drink together as father and son
we got up ridiculously early this morning and me my wife and son made the trek from the east end of LI to MSG
we cheered our asses off but our team came up short
I looked up in the MSG rafters and saw all of SJU’s storied banners that included a whopping 2 trips to the final four with no Natty’s and a couple of NIT championships and I realized how incredibly blessed I am as a
the parent of a kid that goes to UConn and how awesome the last 2 years were watching 2 championship runs

We made it safely back home, So yes, I had a great day with my family, unfortunately our team lost, but I enjoyed every minute of it and would do it again and again and again

But honestly, it was a spanking and impressive game for St Johns
They played stifling defense and were the better team in every aspect of the game

Their glaring weakness is shooting. In a close game, they're going to have issues. Otherwise, just might be best defensive and rebounding team in country.

UConn's problem is they don't have UConn type players. They'll reload.

I just have this feeling that after a great season, Pitino will leave.

Well, I guess its a good as time to mention that the UConn women are starting to peak at the right time and look strong again after beating SC pretty convincingly last week
There could very well be another Final Four in store for them

Most importantly it puts them on the other side of the Big East tournament bracket from St Johns and sets up the potential for a Big East final between the 2
