chunkster one of my oldman itailan gardening friends back a few years grew these bright red poppies plants right here on staten island,, i never saw a deep red flower like that,, only thing he told me after they bloom the flowers dies after a couple of days,, they dont last long,,, at that time i told him what is this plant was,,poppies,, he told me after the flowers dies,, its the middle what you want,, he told me they make dope from the middleof the plant,, he said its cooked my friend had to be in his 80s,, it was so funny,,,,he said hope the cops?‍ dont bust him ,, REST HIS SOUL,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ><))):>

I knew a girl when I was in highschool. Her father would grow his own weed
in the house and smoke it.

From my understanding. Poppies are illegal to grow but then again I'm not
a cop and it's none of my business and neither am I a botanist. There are many
different types of perennials.

yes cleaned some more of the garden this morning,and turned soil, bagged alot of plants up to throw out,, still more to do on the mini farm,, ill do that another day after all this rain next couple of days,, picked off some red tomatoes,, hahaha its only oct 27th ,,, the green ones ill fry up,,italian crosses southern ,, still maga fall mixed

lettuce ,, just picked a bunch,,, also dont know if the last pumpkin is going to turn orange,, i dont want to pull the vine yet,,,,,,,,,,, ><)))):>

just picked more basil from the garden in the rain,, picked it before the real cold comes in friday//saturday,, you know the basil dont like the real cold,, still smells like heaven ,, i chopped it and put it in ice cube trays with olive oil and will freeze all of it,, then pop the cubes in a freezer bay,, they will last long,, so when maureens cooking and needs basil she can just take a cube or 2 from the freezer and throw it in the whatsever shes cooking,,, will show you how they freeze,, when there frozen,,

chevy and friends popped them out of the trays this morning and put them in a freezer bag ,, maureen need any basil and olive oil yet!! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ><))):>

too nice for a stew although that does sound good - never made a stew - these carrots are really fat - you can't really tell from the picture - I'm thinkin':

• the other half of the pork loin I didn't cook the other night
• add some parsnips & small potatoes to the roasting pan along with the carrots (maybe some brussel sprouts)
• garnish with the carrot tops(?)

that might work?
