Lookin great Joe, the rain heading your way will be good for the plants.\

I was in the garden yesterday and could not believe how dry the dirt was, i have been watering but i guess it needs more.

?
Are you guys watering the veggie garden everyday or like me i have been watering ever other day, i think they grow larger in a bit dry soil for a quick 24hr Fast. It’s hard to hold back the water since i know the cukes and zukes love water.

What’s best?

Depends on the temperature, I only water when the soil is dry two inches deep. So far every other morning for me
Thanks for the feedback, i was on a skip day but since it was very warm and dry today i watered.

Will probably do the same tomorrow but get in a skip day over the weekend since we may get some rain Saturday.

I heard its good to let he soil dry out at some point to let he soil do some work to the roots but not sure on how dry and how long, its a visual thing for some plants, the cucumber and zucchini want all the water can offer but the pepper can do better with a dry out. Tomato is some where in between that I think.

jack//chevy we water most 2 times a day,,, you know the pots dry out faster then if the plants are in the ground its hot here,, sometimes 1 time,,, yes jack the cucumbers want alot of water and the zucks,, and yes the pepper plants do better with soil drys out a bit,,,,, the hot peppers will get hotter when the soil drys a bit,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :) ,,,,,,,,,ps in the ground the roots can look for water,, in the pots the roots cant go nowhere so they need water all the time,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ><)))):>
