This is the last big haul. Still have a couple small ones left, but plants are deteriorating quickly.

Sad day
Pulled the basil, tomato , cucumber and leek plants today. Eggplant and peppers are still going strong.
Planting the radish seeds tomorrow.

Not technically a vegetable. Mrs. Avenger always thinks the house if going to end up in OZ whenever there's a weather event. So to ease her concerns about flying objects I corralled the patio furniture and look what I found. Last year's basil reseeded itself.

I saved some seeds before I scrapped the plants. So maybe I'll be growing my own in the spring.

(Thank you. We had bought Basil plants last year, but they're way more productive than we're consumptive and we ended up just tossing the plants after we gathered the seeds and they started browning.

I've had too much on my plate this year to reattempt or even try planting the seeds. But if they can be stored like that may invest in another plant. @$$uming we can't get the seeds to sprout.)

Which we probably can't.

Apparently next year we're gonna be swimming in Basil.

I'm glad somebody knows more about this stuff than I do. Now I just have to figure out a rotation so we're sprouting a new one every four or six months.

Mrs. Avenger needs a hobby.
