Wantagh park marina closed

God how I wish the Town of Oyster Bay would outlaw those infernal Guatemalan hairdryers. I guess its too much to ask. Not that any of them vote for either party (or are even eligible to do so.)
However I do have to admit using an underpowered electric one on vacuum mode to clean out my gardens once a year probably before anyone has even opened their windows. Don't even know if the blower functions so I can say that I have never spewed debris into the street or the neighbors like the alleged landscapers do.
But back on topic- my fishing buddy doesn't yak but uses (used to use) the town boat ramp which I do a few times a year as well for my own little bay boat. If the town beach stays open (doubtful with all the asshats congregating there) the two of us might be doing some spring surfcasting, which is usually wholly unsuccessful.
Hey, at least you’ll be out in the fresh air near the water. (y)

I drove down to Kings Park last week and while the bluff was closed there were numerous people partying on the ramps. I guess I'd the people aren't going to listen they have no choice.

I do believe that they will be the First thing opened when reading begins.

Your Marina going to be open?

Let's talk fishing, not leafblowers, if I want to do that I'll go to my communities facebook page and listen to all the folks it my town bitch and moan about the noise leafblowers make.

Marina' are in forced shut down, statewide. If you boat is at a Marina, you screwed, unless you marina in somehow avoiding the law or has found a loophole.

If you have a boat in a private slip, nothing is stopping you from using your boat.

BTW, pegua1, I'm one of the asshats using the beaches, right now, for surfcasting and for taking long walks with my wife. Nothing wrong with either as long as you don't gather in groups.

AND< the Surfcasting has actually been quite good at times, there are a lot of schoolies around right now. Was down there the other day before the blow, and there were at least 40-50 other surfcaster our with me, and we were all at least 10-15yds apart. NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT!!!

No way was I implying that surfcasters standing 10 and 20 yards apart are the "asshats" at the beach. Its the people like I saw at the boat ramp last weekend, standing within a couple of feet of one another in between their four PWCs for who knows how long. I have every intention of figuratively joining you at my town beach, which I assume is open since my boat ramp still is as well. (Sshhhh...) And its peQua, as in matzohpizza. lol.

So I’m a little confused. I kept the boat in the water all winter she is in the marina ready to go. I stopped down Monday after work to check the boat. There are no gates up or any obstructions stopping me from getting to the boat. I should still be able to go out and fish when I finally get a weather window? Just with my family that lives with me.

Why do we always have to go there?

Brookhaven town ramps while not officially open are not gated and I don't see anyone stopping people from using at least some of them, not sure about all of them..
