This dirtbag would never trade "Hot Weather Ladies" for weather that is TOO friggin hot. This string of 9+ days over 85°F has reinforced that resolution even further. I wouldn't care if they provided "individual thermometer checks"

surprised no one has posted, but we just had a lollapalooza of a thunderstorm in Matzohpizza. Not that much thunder and lightning but a lot of rain and wind and I believe hail. Hit at the same time the Yankees got rained out.

It looks like it moved 75 miles west of the last projected track. Good for NYC, bad for Pennsylvania and north Joisey.

Still with some 60mph gusts here. Won't be kayaking tomorrow morning but cutting down much of what is left of a magnolia (damn thing was a messy tree anyway) and some branches from a Bradford pear tree. Very little rain, total since yesterday evening maybe half an inch. So far we have electric but portions of Matzohpizza are out, including heavily traveled Merrick Road (stay away gawkers.) Not aware of any flooding from the bay but I am 2 blocks north of Merrick Rd.

Wind just started up here, weird to feel a warm, humid breeze. I had all the "movables" around the house and dock secured by 11:00 AM. With Eastern winds, my dock is in a total lee so I'll sleep well tonight. Didn't even bother with extra lines or fenders...
