Lots of trees down here

This place looks like a war zone. I lost my last oak tree. Running on generator. Trees are down everywhere. It's bad.
 
just got the power back on - been out since..........?...............?????...........I don't know - it was out when I woke up this morning
 
In Astoria we got about an hour of fairly heavy rain in the late morning and a wind event after that. Power stayed on, my complex has a buried electrical feed from the street, not true for of a lot of Astoria.
 
Did anyone notice their cars covered in waterspots? I'm wondering if there was some saltwater in the rain that came down, most rainstorms don't leave waterspots like that.
 
Salty wind ? Oh yeah. Weeping cherry tree on front lawn is now half brown. Most black eyed susans are down for the count. I watered my front lawn after removing half a magnolia tree that came down. Hosed off all the cars and windows. Between that and a large branch of bradford pear I have a pile of bound up branches the size of a car out front. If magnolia or bradford pear burns well you can have the logs ! Got the spitfire vacuum in the pool now. Pita getting leaves out. Put umbrellas and yard ornaments back out. As usual, because I had gas and a 3k jenny, lost power here for about ten minutes yesterday. Its like buying a snowblower. No snow.
