After a week of east winds how long does it take for the seas to calm down

For me, a better day to read, have son and his girl over, renew my zoo membership, decide if i want to watch the “kneelers”, but no second coat on the tables I made to match the Trex furniture SWMBO and I assembled Friday. I rarely fish anymore in nasty weather, nor will I hunt. Besides, with all this east wind I would have to have a drone deliver a window sash weight to beat the sweep lol!

Is this system bringing rain and wind to the island a "Nor'easter" or is it just a rainy, windy, crappy day with north east winds? None of the NOAA weather sights that I have looked at are calling this a Nor'easter, nor have any of the TV weather people referred to it as such.
