I’m gonna withhold comment cuz what I would say would get poofed quicker than any thing I could possibly say in any political discussion
Of course, the remote is battery operated. And I am pretty sure there is a battery in the unit in case we lose power.

I don’t think the cold snap will last long enough for any local ice fishing22 here, minimal breeze. Ponds are icing over. Will need to look for moving water.
The ice never really sets up "safely" when I can get out. I fish open water, hence looking more towards streams or outflows or brackish.I don’t think the cold snap will last long enough for any local ice fishing
Have you ever done that on LI??
I am hoping for some ice and snow on top. Pond becomes "dark". Give a week or so. The first day of ice out, the residents usually feed once the sun penetrates again. Tough to time with work, etc , but worth it.Looking at 3-6 inches of snow for queens and Long Island tomorrow. I am going to wait until the weather warms up to go fishing. I have kissena park and the bridge near citifield and the tennis center to try for striped bass. Kissena is for bass carp and catfish.
