Teddy Roosevelt started a long-term relationship with Maine at the age of 20 when he spent time in the Maine wilderness. Now most hurricane models have Teddy sticking out to sea, after hitting Bermuda, sheesh 2 hurricane hits in one week!!, BUT some European Models have Teddy hanging a Louie and coming to visit Maine on Tuesday.

We all remember that it was the European Models that had Sandy hanging the Louie to hit NY long before the other models agreed. The weathermen are still saying Teddy has a "slight chance of that westward hook," but I'm not buying it just yet.

Thankfully the Gulf of Maine isn't very hurricane friendly, no storm gathers any strength here and right now with surface temps of 57°F, any tropical storm will quickly shrink. The normal pattern is that when any storm sticks their toes in the Gulf, they react the same as people, "Crap, that's COLD!! Think I'll hang a quick right and get my butt over the Gulf Stream!!!"

My buddy was in Montauk Sunday in his 30' Grady White & said the north rips were "scary rough".

Lost power about 15 min ago, Genny kicked in for 10 min and I heard the transfer switch put things back on line, but before Genny finished her cool-down cycle, the THUNK of the transfer switch informed me that Genny was back at work supplying our power...

43,000 without power so far...
