Weather

3" of wet, sloppy snow on the ground, with more still coming. No problems here, I did not put the blower, nor the widemouth spray WD40 away yet...

LoL too hot, 75’ here in lower Manhattan, meanwhile Atlantic Beach 55’... cellfish...

Hi,
The weather looks good the next 2 weeks. We are in a normal spring pattern this spring so far. Unlike last year where it was cold, miserable and snowy in March and April.

This year is a normal spring with some nice 60-70+ degree days mixed in with normal weather the other days of 50-60 degrees. Like all normal springs, LI and coastal sections will have to fight the sea breeze and cold ocean and will be substantially lower with temps until the water can rise above 60 degrees in June.

I dont see any big heat yet on long range modeling, but I do see normal spring weather with shots of above normal temps. This weekend coming up is another shot of 60-70 degree weather, which is above normal.

I think last years very cold and snowy March and April threw off the bait migration and thus the Striped Bass migration. The bait stayed deep in the ocean due to cold inshore water temps. We will see if that theory was correct this year. So far, I like what I'm seeing with the bait and bass situation.

Tight lines. Most know I am a winter weather junkie. I will try and provide updates during spring and summer but mostly only when there is a severe weather threat or a tropical storm threat.
