Yesterday afternoon, while on the beach, we witnessed a whale that looked in distress off Atlantique/Fair Harbor .There was a boat in the area that seemed to be fishing and the whale was thrashing about quite violently for quite a while. I was hoping that fisherman was on this site and could give us an idea of what was going on. From the beach it looked like it was maybe caught in a net tangled in line or something causing it to behave that way. Hopefully I am wrong and it was just showing off for the boat.
