What Is The Scam

In the past I have sold a number of items on Craigs List & I thought I was up to date on all the scams. Yesterday I listed 5 different items, within 5 min of each listing I got 5 text, " I want to buy the table is it available" yes, "are you the owner" yes " will sent you a 4 digit code, sent it back to me so I know you are the real owner". Soon after I get the text with the code & it looks like it is coming from Google, I ignore & don't respond to the other text. All 5 text come from a different phone number. So what is the scam?

I would say yes. Any unknown somebody sending you codes? For all you know it's some sort of virus. I wouldn't click on any of 'em.

Contact craigs list they will check on it

They send out a million of those and every response gets them contact info.....
That is a huge list they can sell.
