They do not have the same resources as the US & as far as I'm concerned for 5% of our defense budget - it was money well spent. Ukraine has managed to fight Russia to nearly a standstill without a single drop of American or NATO blood & exposed the Russian military for what it is. A paper tiger. I think that's a damn good investment.

An investment we should willingly allow to continue.

Unless of course you're all willing to become a vassal of Russia.

IF signing that that was limited to Registered Maine Voters, which I doubt it was, that's only <2% of Maine's 1.1 million registered voters.

Important to check the relevance of Online polls, petitions, etc. Like Internet Influencers, their relevance to reality can best be summed up by Uncle Remus' signature song...

Now that I pissed on your parade, here's my opinion regarding the situation. I applaud Mills for her stance since it's time that people start standing up to the bullying this administration reflexes to.

However, I do wish Mills used a more defensible platform to take a stand on. My doctorate is in Physiology and Biophysics. Basic human physiology unequivocally dictates that a biological male who has started or completed puberty has physical traits in their skeletal and muscular systems that provide significant athletic advantages over biological females.

On the flip side, if a biological female who decides to go male and wants to participate in male sports, have at it. They will be at a disadvantage, but that will be of their choice. For the record there is a female HS wrestler who's 100% XX with no hormone use, who won 2 straight Maine HS Boy 113 lb Class State Championships. She chose to wrassle with the boys and she ruled. Nobody is complaining or whining about that...

You're forgetting all the Ukrainian blood that's being spilled, not to mention that the place is starting to look post-apocalyptic.

I agree, from a financial standpoint it's been a pretty decent investment so far. We've destroyed a lot of Russian military hardware and probably a lot of support for Putin within his own borders. But Russia is not folding up any faster that Ukraine was expected to, and it keeps dragging on, year after bloody year. All the damage has to be rebuilt, and I'm sure we'll be paying for that too, but if this keeps dragging on there will be nothing left.

So, the question I asked before, how do you see this ending? I'm sure Putin is looking for a way out by now, but he needs a way to save face. He's not going to simply walk out with his tail between his legs. Some people are demanding that but it's unrealistic. Pursuing that agenda will turn this into Vietnam 2.0.
