Whats going on in the World

You going to check all the prop guns on movie/tv sets all over the globe? It was an accident and a freak one at that theres only one person who knows why that gun had live ammo in it give it a rest on the gun control BS
Gun safety. Far from gun control.

The way I'm seeing it at the moment, they were filming a shooting scene. Baldwin was to fire at someone, but he aimed away slightly (saving actor's life) and struck the photography director and asst director standing behind her.

Bottom line - pick a better sight line if you're afraid of shooting the actor.

What is confusing about that?

Either last year or the year before, I returned home from the Mitchel Range after firing several of my handguns. As is my practice I immediately started cleaning them the same day. I was absolutely flawed to find one of the semi autos had a live round chambered. We are encouraged to have one loaded handgun when going to and from the range in this county, otherwise the thugs that live within a mile of said range would be lined up in the parking lot there for "free pistols !" However I had never before had a round chambered in a semi auto upon returning home. My practice along with same day cleaning is to clear every firearm before I do anything with them, clean, fire, etc. Very few Hollywood types would do any of this, with the exception of Clint Eastwood, Tom Selleck, Brad Pitt, Joe Mantegna and a few other Hollywood shooting aficionados. RIP Halyna and condolences to friends and family. We may never hear the whole, true story, but aside from the asst. director who announced the firearm was "cold" before handing it to Baldwin, I would like to know what the "armorer" does on a movie set, if not at least insuring live rounds were on hand or not.
