In the U.S., the Jacob Liquor Exchange in Wichita, Kansas, decided to remove its more than 100 bottles of Russian vodka from the shelves and poured some of it on the ground.

"I think the whole world knows by now that Russia’s at war with Ukraine for no apparent reason," Jamie Stratton, wine director and partner of the store, told KSNW-TV in Wichita. "I guess this is our sanction … and this may be small, but every small thing makes a difference."

In Oregon, the owner of a bar in Bend filmed himself pouring out all of his Russian vodka, according to FOX 12 of Portland.

"Russia is acting as though it's 1939 and going into Europe with a full force that they have in the Ukraine," Bill McCormick, owner of Pine Tavern, told the station. "I am so concerned about it metastasizing into other countries."

He said he stood to lose a few hundred dollars over the spilled vodka – but said the protest was worth it to him.
Bob Quay, owner of Bob’s Bar in Grand Rapids, Michigan, told MLive.com he pulled several bottles off his shelf as a "protest against the aggression."

"I just made the decision on the spot," he told MLive.com. "It’s just something little we can do."

I went out for a meal last night to get away from all the depressing news at Bizzotto's one of my usual haunts. It's sort like walking onto Cheers. All the barmaids know I usually start out with a very Dry Stoli Martini & they make it automatically without asking. Last night as soon as I walked in & aproached the bar Shanna goes "Hope you don't want your usual Stoli. We dumped it."

I said fine with me - make it Tito's then.

“You fucking idiot” reports exhausted world

Weary citizens around the world have reacted with an exhausted sigh today, after learning one of the idiots in charge of things have once again made everyone’s life worse right when everything was getting back to normal.

“I mean even at the best of times invading a country and killing hundreds of innocent people for no reason is about the worst thing you could do,” reported one man forced into panic shopping for the fifth time in three years. “But I mean fucking come on dude, can we not have one fucking month without a global catastrophe? It’s kinda been a rough few years.”

“Literally nobody would have been upset if that moron didn’t do this,” explained another local mother just trying to get through the day without having a breakdown. “I mean come on, Russia already has a border with Finland, America, Japan, China and the Artic. I think they have enough land at this point.”

Asked whether he might want to just enjoy ruling Russia with his billions of dollars, hundreds of palaces, and a whole state media that adores him, Putin explained that he simply could not have gone on without invading another country, because that has historically panned out so well for dictators, and certainly won’t make everything a billion times worse for both his citizens and everyone in Ukraine.

Asked whether they agreed, every single citizen on earth replied “Of course fucking not.”

ATLANTA (AP) — Delta Air Lines has suspended its codesharing partnership with Russian national airline Aeroflot following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine — and some Baltic and European nations announced the closure of their airspace to Russian carriers.

Atlanta-based Delta on Friday said its decision put a hold on the codesharing system allowing Delta and Aeroflot customers to book flights on both airlines.

“We have removed our code from Aeroflot-operated services beyond Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport and removed Aeroflot’s code from Delta-operated services from Los Angeles and New York-JFK. Accommodations will be made for customers affected by these changes,” Delta said in a statement, adding that it does not operate flights to Ukraine or Russia.

The codesharing suspension came after Britain on Thursday banned Aeroflot from flying into the country.

(Reuters) - British transport minister Grant Shapps said in a tweet on Friday that no Russian private jet can fly in UK airspace or touch down, effective immediately.

"Putin's actions are unlawful and anyone benefitting from Russia's aggression in Ukraine is not welcome here. I've strengthened our ban in the UK so that no Russian private jet can fly in UK airspace, or touchdown – effective immediately," Shapps tweeted.

Shapps' move comes after Russia banned British airlines from landing at its airports or crossing its airspace, following London's ban on the flights of Russian flag carrier Aeroflot imposed in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Poland and Czech Republic also said they were banning Russian airlines from their airspace, while airlines, including IAG owned British Airways and Virgin Atlantic began routing flights around Russian airspace.
