'Blood is on your hands': Ex-boxing champ Wladimir Klitschko hits out at Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens for criticizing US support for Ukraine during Russia's invasion adding 'we share the same democratic principles'

  • Wladimir Klitschko said those who are 'passively observing' Ukraine 'have blood on their hands'
  • Carlson has questioned why defending Ukraine is important and asked why the US should side with them and not Putin
  • Owens has gone even further by openly parroting Putin's false narrative

Ukraine war will have global food impact not seen since WWII

Ukraine and Russia together produce 30% of the world's wheat supply. They contribute to 20% of the global maize supply, and 75 to 80% of the sunflower seed oil.

Now, the war in Ukraine is threatening the global food supply, the U.N. food chief warned Tuesday. He said the global impact will be the most severe the world has seen since World War II, and that the invasion has created “a catastrophe on top of a catastrophe.”

Many farmers from Ukraine, sometimes referred to as "the breadbasket of the world," have left their farms and are fighting Russian soldiers amid already high food prices.

David Beasley, executive director of the U.N. World Food Program, told the U.N. Security Council on Tuesday that his agency had already begun cutting rations because of rising food, fuel, and shipping costs for millions of families around the world.

Gotta love it. It’s like a test, let’s see how long it takes to be noticed, and it’s a foot across.

Russian Troops Suffer ‘Acute Radiation Sickness’ After Digging Chernobyl Trenches

Several hundred Russian soldiers were forced to hastily withdraw from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine after suffering “acute radiation sickness” from contaminated soil, according to Ukrainian officials.

The troops, who reportedly dug trenches in a contaminated Red Forest near the site of the worst nuclear disaster in history, are now being treated in a special medical facility in Gomel, Belarus. The forest is so named because thousands of pine trees turned red during the 1986 nuclear disaster. The area is considered so highly toxic that not even highly specialized Chernobyl workers are allowed to enter the zone.

Local reports suggest that seven buses with the zapped troops arrived in Gomel early Thursday. Journalists on the ground have also reported “ghost buses” of dead soldiers being transported from Belarus to Russia under the cover of dark.

U.S. intelligence reported Wednesday that Russian forces began withdrawing from the defunct site. Russia said the withdrawal from Chernobyl was part of a pledge to scale back the invasion. But Ukrainian media says it is actually because the troops were “irradiated” from the contaminated soil.

“Another batch of Russian irradiated terrorists who seized the Chernobyl zone was brought to the Belarusian Radiation Medicine Center in Gomel today,” Yaroslav Yemelianenko, who works for the Public Council at the State Agency of Ukraine for Exclusion Zone Management, posted on Facebook. “There are rules for dealing with this territory.”

The Chernobyl facility fell to Russian control on Feb. 24, the first day of the invasion. Workers were on duty for more than 600 hours before being allowed a shift change. International concern grew immediately when Russian troops moved heavy military hardware through the area, kicking up radioactive dust without any protective equipment.

Forest fires in the area also raised concern about environmental contamination.

Digging trenches in the forest—considered the most contaminated area of the site—drew widespread ridicule from Ukrainians who work at the site.

The debacle is the latest in a series of missteps by the Russian troops struggling to keep their footing in their increasingly failed war.

Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine are heard admitting they've eaten dog meat and raped young girls in horrifying intercepted audio.
In tapped phone calls released by Kyiv secret service the SBU yesterday, Russian soldiers reveal their sick sexual 'conquests' and complain about the quality of years-old ration packs.
An unidentified man presumed to be a family member asks in Russian: 'Are you eating okay at least?'

'Who?', the family member asks.
'Alabay', he replies matter-of-factly.
The stunned man says: 'Are you eating dogs or what?'
Again the soldier replies stoically: 'We have. We wanted some meat.
'We're sick of [ration packs]'.
The soldier goes on to describe the rape of a 16-year-old girl by 'our guys'.
An older woman who could be his mum asks 'Who did it?', to which the soldier says 'three tankers' in his unit.
It's not clear where in Ukraine the Russian fighter is located, nor precisely when the phone call took place.
The footage, which runs to just over a minute, was tweeted by the SBU yesterday morning to more than 400,000 followers.
A flurry of outraged replies followed, with Ukrainians pointing out dogs could one day get their revenge by chewing on the Russian soldiers' corpses.
One tweeter replied: 'It's just the bottom of the bottom ... Satan nervously smokes beside them.'
Another fumed: 'Filth! They will burn in hell.'
But in a twisted irony, dogs have also been seen chewing on the corpses of Russian soldiers, according to graphic tweets posted in the last few days.

Moscow accused Ukraine of sending two helicopters to strike a fuel storage depot in the Russian city of Belgorod on Friday. If confirmed, this would be the first attack on Russian soil since the war began on Feb. 24.

The governor of the border city said that two Ukrainian helicopters crossed into Russia flying at low altitude before launching airstrikes at an oil storage facility just 25 miles from the border. Footage of the alleged attack shows several missiles being fired at the building before it erupts into flames. The video has not been independently verified.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said authorities were working to reorganize the supply chain for fuel to avoid the disruption of energy supplies. He added that Putin had been briefed on the alleged attack.

“What has happened is certainly not something that can be perceived as creating conditions comfortable for the continuation of negotiations,” Peskov said, referring to the peace talks being held between Russia and Ukraine.

Zelenskyy: Retreating Russians leave many mines behind

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned his people early Saturday that retreating Russian forces were creating “a complete disaster” outside the capital as they leave mines across “the whole territory,” even around homes and corpses.

He issued the warning as the humanitarian crisis in the encircled city of Mariupol deepened, with Russian forces blocking evacuation operations for the second day in a row, and the Kremlin accused the Ukrainians of launching a helicopter attack on a fuel depot on Russian soil.

Russia continued withdrawing some of its ground forces from areas around Kyiv after saying earlier this week it would reduce military activity near the Ukrainian capital and the northern city of Chernihiv.

“They are mining the whole territory. They are mining homes, mining equipment, even the bodies of people who were killed,” Zelenskyy said in his nightly video address to the nation. “There are a lot of trip wires, a lot of other dangers.”
