I've had the unpleasant experience of seeing politics from a close vantage point. When the establishment is crying foul, take note. Their sacred ox is getting gored, meaning their tap into their "entitlement" public money stream is being threatened.

I've seen close friends of decades change to damn near murdering each other when somebody even suggested a slight reduction of the free money tap.

Public sector unions, politicians, corporate vendors,... whatever. The whole system is designed for theft and self enrichment.

Don't believe a word they say when they argue safety, or protecting (Democracy!) or function or whatever, When you want to figure out who the good guys are, follow the money. Then look who's being demonized.
