How long you gonna store them for “a later date”???Today I steamed open 12 cherry stones clams, seperated the meat… cut across and into both muscle, drained broth into 3/4 quart container for a later date… gotta get fresh thyme… cellfish…

Ahhhh2 - 3 weeks… I may include some shrimp & cod…
YepInteresting that many here steam hard shell clams prior to freezing. Nana would turn in her grave if I ever did that
If freezing is in a clam’s future at Chez Roccus, they get shucked, cut up, and tossed into the juices reserved through the entire process. It’s a superior product to clams frozen after cooking IMO.
