I’ll stick with food. We tried the new ITA Kitchen in Patchogue which replaced the very good PeraBell restaraunt. Space spruced up, looks good.

Nice martini. Extra olive stuffed with blue cheese. Nice touch.

Veal chop pounded and pan fried, truffle mushroom Marsala sauce.

Burrata ravioli crowned with fried mozzarella.

Pretty expensive no?
They took over space in East Moriches at the end of Atlantic Ave and put in an upscale Italian restaurant that makes no sense at a waterfront marina in a modest area. Should have with gone a casual seafood theme with a bar that would attract the locals instead of mucky mucks, IMO

Yeah a bit expensive. Wanted to try it. The moriches staff is in the Patchogue location.

So Harbor Crab in Patchogue is having their annual striped bass tournament tomorrow. Captain’s meeting tonight. I’m not participating but my wife, daughter, and a bunch of her friends went down there to support the group. Dinner, drinks etc. Managed one photo of their “Baltimore Burger”. Crab cake on the burger etc. Super good! Great to hang with the local guys and talk fishing and boats. Talked strategy and spots to fish. Recommended big metal lips in the bay on rip lines if ocean not an option. We shall see.

Nothing pretty, but very tasty.

Meat sauce over pasta. Chunks of fresh mozzarella under the sauce. Fresh grated Parmesan cheese. Perfect.
