70 grams is just a recommendation, which is low especially for an active male. An 8 ounce steak has 56 grams of protein, mix in some vegetables and some potatoes you’re over that number in one meal. If you’re active, have a labor intensive job, lift weights, run or bike that is definitely not enough. I don’t believe in one size fits all when it comes to diet. I weigh 178 pounds and easily eat 180 grams of protein a day and you can’t pinch an inch on me.
