This is more of a shoutout for Costco and the frozen Phillips Crab Cakes they carry. Been dining on them since just before Christmas when the one and only Costco in Maine opened up. They are really good, in the Maryland tradition of just crab meat, spices and just barely enough bread crumbs to ensure the cakes stay alive. It's time for me to see if the Crab Cake Connoisseur, @Old Mud agrees with my assessment. He'll study a menu whenever we go out for lunch and then go Crab Cakes 75% of the time, only to "mix" things up with Fish and Chips, the other 25% of the time.

Sadly, just about every "Yankee" crab cake I've ever had is heavy on the breadcrumbs and additional stuff like pimentos, peppers, etc., so these Phillips cakes are a welcome addition to the home, quick dinner menu. Tonight's were served over a nice Caesar Salad. Oh for those of you looking for anchovies, I make the dressing in a food processor and there's a can of anchovies in there. I love when we have people over and when I tell them we're serving Caesar Salad, "Oh no anchovies for me please." When we serve it we always get, "That salad was great!! May I have the recipe please?" You should see the reaction when I tell them there's anchovies in there!! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

One problem: Every time we walk into Costco, we're guaranteed to spend a $78 dollar minimum because we won't leave with 3, "Six Packs"...

Did you two have a nice dinner together?
sorta - after he finished working on my waterline - I cooked him the same thing & he took it back to his abode to eat it - got a message shortly thereafter - he loved it - said the best he's had since he left the UK 5 years ago - reminded him of home & he couldn't wait to return
