Whats on tonights Menu

If it's the same as Riverhead, I'm heading there today. I need something special for tomorrow's dinner. I never had pierogies. Are there different fillings? Suggestions.

Quick breakfast and off to install my dehumidifier. Then a run to Copiague for pierogies.

I just took a twenty minute trip to Poland when I wound up in the Euro Deli in Copiague. I have never seen a deli so cool as this place. It was very busy with line of ten people that grew to fifteen while I was there. Just about everyone there spoke Polish. The staff could not have been nicer. I got ten perogies. Cheese/potato and sauerkraut/mushroom. I asked the woman who helped me to pick out a kielbasa. She asked if I wanted strong garlic or medium. I got medium. The ride home was making me so hungry as the delicious smell of the kielbasa filled the car. I would suggest this place to anyone.

I cook my own Asian dumplings. Making the dough wrapper is easy but it's tough to get the perfect consistency. Even store bought, they are good but not great. I never ate perogies until today. I could not wait to cook the kielbasa, so I cut off a few pieces. Between the perogies and kielbasa, I could not believe how delicious both were. The dough on the perogies is fantastic. I just finished making some fresh applesauce and planning to heat the kielbasa in my air fryer.
