I thought it was a christening. It’s a month or two early for a First Holy Communion

People often confuse a baptism & a christening and use either word interchangeably. There are differences…… a Baptism is one of the 7 sacraments in the Catholic Church, where-as a christening is generally a religious ceremony, but where a name is given to a child.

You can christen a boat, but you can’t baptize a boat.

Kindergarten through 8th grade at St Anastasia taught me something………. Or rather, the nuns beat it into me.
