I did notice something, when measuring the big Gators, they are doing it wrong…
rather than a straight line on the ground, the gator is being measured on top , which includes its girth…

Season 4 of True Detective on HBO, set in the fictional town of Ennis, Alaska.
They are in their 6 months of night time - quite depressing.

AMC on Sunday nights @ 9. I've caught the last 2 episodes. It's pretty good. There's a little French in it as it takes place in France. When that takes place it's subtitled. Very little of that however.

Premise[edit]​

"The year is 1963, and the legendary Detective Sam Spade is enjoying his retirement in the South of France. By contrast to his days as a private eye in San Francisco, Spade's life in Bozouls is peaceful and quiet. But the rumored return of his old adversary will change everything. Six beloved nuns have been brutally murdered at the local convent. As the town grieves, secrets emerge, and new leads are established. Spade learns that the murders are somehow connected to a mysterious child who is believed to possess great powers.

it's really good - one of those shows that comes around on Network TV every now & then that demands your attention - Clive Owen is terrific as Sam Spade
