Didn’t watch today. Work commitments. Was it that bad?
Wasn't bad, just painful to watch. First half we were brilliant, with great control - lots of motion, space and aggression.
2nd half just hell bent on protecting a 1 goal lead, not my favorite football to watch...
Don't get me wrong, Winning Ugly is just fine. Sitting back and going full defense for 20, I mean 29 w/stoppage time, doesn't make for a "Beautiful Game", and causes me extensive agita...

Gotcha. I don't like watching that type of game either, especially with a 1 goal lead still need to play like it's 0-0. We used to be taught that especially with half time leads 1 up. Play like it's still a tie game.
My coach from 5 -12 years old (attorney litigator, former navy officer) one tough SOB...used to scream at us kids the following "Put the Ball in the Back off the Net!!" Never forget those words.
