Sheesh, Bath Iron Works launched their 37th Arleigh Burke destroyer yesterday, the USS Daniel Inouye yesterday and she's out on the Gulf for Builder's Sea Trials. Considering it's blowing like the Hammers of Hell out there today, and there's a bunch of land lubbers aboard, I'm guessing the leeward rail is a bit crowded right now with a bunch of Captain Horatio Lunchblowers...

Here's the Inoye rolling down the Kennebec River out to sea during yesterday's Bluebird Day...

I have to tell you, Yonkers is the worst with snow removal. When driving to work after a storm, I can tell exactly where the Hastings - Yonkers border is.
They plow my block like clockwork since I’m right off a service road. They did about 4 passes last night and 3 more this morning. I can’t complain lol.

I asked Santa for a model of one of these Arleigh Burke class destroyers. I usually just build WW2 but I watched every episode of "The Last Ship" and it does seem that for the first few months of 2021 this will be a good time for another model.
Looks like we are getting the last of the snow about now. I would estimate between 5 and 6 inches of some of the heaviest snow I have ever shoveled. Had to use some water to open up a door of the truck as my wife had a doctor's appointment we did not want to cancel. (Was careful not to spill it on the windows.) then I started it up to heat the hood and roof. Windshield and mirrors had one of those covers we got two years ago and used once until last night. Well worth it, windshield was pristine. (Must remember to put it on the night before I go after Bambi's grandparents again!) Just have to finish cleaning off the wife's car for tomorrow's delivery of some charity gifts (by her) while I go back to the range and kill some paper targets.

Got about 4" over here on the north side, looks like it snowed, then rain, then snow again, A bitch to remove. Shoveled a path to the 4X4 pick up & that's all I do. My driveway is about 240' so whoever put the snow their, I can wait till they take it away.
