Coronavirus

The Bride & I both had our second shot yesterday morning. Today isn't so bad, although we both feel sore all over as if we were in a car accident yesterday. Legs, knees, & lower back just feels sore, no headache, no chills or fever, so I guess it's not so bad. Injection site is much more tender that the first shot.

Sorry about that. What you might experience in two weeks however is a certain feeling of freedom, in that you might forget to put a mask in your pocket when leaving the house, and not feel ill at ease when hitting the stores. As sick (and dead) as some people have gotten from the virus, its worth those first couple of days after the shot.

J & J one and done vaccine has been in my arm for slightly more than 24 hours. So far, not one single side effect. This is great. Now another 13 days to be considered fully vaccinated and I have my COVID card in my wallet to prove it if anyone asks.

Just remember, No one flicks a switch at day 13 and .....walllah!......you have immunity.

Your immunity builds over time........your already developing antibodies and you probably have enough antibody after 1 week that can prevent a strong response if exposed.

CDC is lagging in their information to vaccinated persons..........my guess is that if vaccinations continue at this pace, we would have established heerd immunity by June........I hope so!

So apparently I spoke too soon. I got the J&J shot on Tuesday at 5PM and was fine. Next day, all day long I was still fine. Then at around 7PM (so now we're more than 26 hours later) it was like I hit the trifecta. Low grade fever, chills, an injection site that was screaming at me, backache and a humdinger of a headache. Got a shower and went to bed. Thursday morning I woke up and felt like a million bucks. No leftover side effects at all. Today, I felt so good, I even went out and played 9 holes in this beautiful weather.
