The program, dubbed the “Excelsior Pass,” is an app that will allow New Yorkers to prove their vaccination status, or recent history of a negative COVID-19 test, in order to gain entry to events and businesses, Governor Cuomo announced in a news release Friday.

Major venues, such as Madison Square Garden and the Times Union Center in Albany, will begin using the app next week and on April 2, Excelsior Pass will expand to “smaller arts, entertainment and event venues,” Cuomo’s office said.

The app, which launched Friday, already works to prove vaccination status or negative test results and can be used to gain access to wedding receptions, which now require negative tests from attendees, and other events above the social gathering limit.

Im surprised there is no program in place for surveillance testing of vaccinated persons. (At least I wasnt aware of any)

Friend of mine and his wife had 2nd shot 3 weeks ago. Their unvaccinated son went to a party and felt sick. He tested positive. They live in same house together. So far my friend has been tested 3Xs and has been negative.

Its an interesting case study. keep you posted.

I deleted it off my phone but there was a program (V-Safe)that I signed up for that asked me my reactions at 2PM every day following each injection. We were given a letter explaining its use (voluntary) and that it provided the "givers" some important information. After the fourth day when I couldn't even tell which arm I had gotten the shot in, I simply deleted it to stop the 2PM texts. I am hoping that a program like that may be utilized in producing some future "proof of vaccination" something a lot better than than little cheap paper card they hand you. Cuomo's "Excelsior Pass" is only good for thirty days, and ANYONE could seemingly get one just by fraudulently providing dates of phony vaccinations.

Need to know the facts.....many people have been hiding underlying conditions so as to not be excluded from getting vaccinated.

If after 100million vaccinations all we can find is a picture of a man in Virginia with a rash, things are going better than expected!

Regarding my friend who's son tested positive.....He and his wife never tested positive. Both had their second vaccine shots 3 weeks before exposure.

Son has not retested. After only 1 day of not feeling well, he was pretty much asymptomatic.........

Pfizer says its Covid-19 vaccine is safe and 100 percent effective in preventing the illness in teenagers ages 12 to 15.
"This is exactly the news that we hoped to hear," said Dr. Buddy Creech, a pediatric infectious disease expert at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Creech was not involved in the Pfizer research.

You will be fine TODAY... check back in tomorrow, but its the second shot that seemed to lay the most people low. I know of about a dozen people who got both Moderna or Pfizer and only two felt ill for 24 hours the day after the second injection. The rest of us ? Just sore arms.

So far, so good. No anaphylaxis, just psychosomatic pain.

I'll let you know how tomorrow goes. Meanwhile there will be an appointment opening up at Aqueduct on the 4th as soon as the site will let me cancel it.
