Tuned up my backback blower and its running MUCH better!
I have a Stihl BR340 that is approx 10-15yrs old.
Last couple of years been giving me grief. Runs good, then bogs down. I attributed it to fuel and ethanol problems. Decided I couldn't deal with it no more. Started looking at new ones and saw the price tag of $379 and said F that, I'd rather spend that money on fishing/boat etc. Did some on line research and saw lots of stuff saying clogged air filter and gas filters could be cause. Makes sense. Not sure when last time I changed 'em... A trip to Lopers and $40 worth of parts :eek:, air filter, pre-filter, and in tank fuel filter. Swapped them out and fired it up. WOW, what a difference. Thar she blows!!!!
Now when the neighbors leaves blow in my yard tonight in all this wind I can blow them right back!!!
