I haven't seen anything about that (though I'm sure it happens) and I still am open to anything including the mills. I'm still trying to figure out if this is a pro whale thread or an anti green energy thread. There is historical and factual evidence pointing to many things besides windmills. Maybe they (mills) are part of the problem but the other issues are certainly problematic for whales. I get the feeling that no matter what reason other than the mills is determined it will be disregarded as some minds are made up. I cannot do that, I need more info. Most likely there are a combination of things that are causing these whale deaths. Even humans are affected by what we eat and breathe and drink and thousands of us WASH UP on a daily basis due to it.

So we should throw everything out there and see what sticks...the jury is still out. CHEERS!!

Can someone drinking the Kool aid please explain this one too me? Anyone? Maybe @movetheboat ? I need to know why NOAA gave permission to kill our whales and are now denying it?

In a typical year, whale beachings are reported between three and five times per year in New Jersey. There have been 11 in about a three-month span since December. That number is very usual.

In fact, the 11 whale beachings in New Jersey this winter equal the total number of beachings from 2019 through 2022 combined, not including the December beachings. (Does anyone think it's plastics doing this?)

“It seems like every day we have another report of a dead whale floating offshore or landing on one of our beaches,” said New Jersey Senator Anthony Bucco. “How many more dead whales does Governor Murphy need to see before he finally takes action? We need to investigate what’s causing these deaths to learn if it’s something we can easily fixed"

Wondering what happens when they reach the allotment on say the Right Whale?? Close the killing season? Maybe they'll pull a "CodFather" playbook, (guy from Boston Carlos Rafael) and reallocate....say 'no those are not Right Whales washing up, those are Bottlenose Dolphin, and we still have 1523 of those to go". True Jedi Mind Trick stuff going on.

I don't have a position, we are still in the fact finding stage. If you want to jump to conclusions or are smart enough to know with certainty what is going on, please enlighten me. The rest of your comment isn't worth answering.

As for NOAA saying that incidental damage (deaths) may result from wind mills and is acceptable. No kidding....as my position has been, the windmills along with other issues are probably causing the whale deaths. Now it looks like a political football to blame green energy for all the deaths. You can all believe what you want, and so can I. I believe we don't have enough proof or information yet. If this just started when the windmills did than ok....but it has been going on for awhile. So if you guys are smart enough to know what's truth and what's a lie then I tip my hat to you. The cast of characters with some exceptions leads me to believe this is more of a wishing it so than it actually being so. What if we stop the mills and this continues?

Interesting comment.

When I troubleshoot a problem I tend to start with the obvious and work from there. I hate wasting time. STOP all progress on the windmills, let the rest of the bloated whales surface, get hit by boats, and end up on the beach. If that stops after a 6-9 month period then you have have the problem solved. In the meantime, let the scientist look further into other theories and move forward from there.

That would make sense.
