Streets where flooded in Brentwood, but not a drop here in Islip.

Yay !!, its cats and dogs here but probably won't last long. I put off watering the flowers in the hope that the forecast would actually pan out. should stop soon enough so I will get my laps in before dinnertime.

Nearly an inch of rain in 90 minutes. The farm (zoysia lawn) is saved ! (without wasting the aquifer on it!)
And another downpour started right now !

Looks like my daily swim will be after dinner !

Haven't had to cut my lawn for two weeks. Zoysia just goes dormant in the drought but it will be growing now. At least 2 and 1/4" of rain since Sunday morning. Doesn't sound like a lot unless you are in the desert of the south shore...

this camera is exaggerating the morning SUN’s color… it’s more ORANGE than FIRE RED… cellfish…
