My brother was up from Florida one July... he turns the water on to wash the bugs off his truck and asks how’s the water to drink. I said it’s supposed to be some of the best around.
He starts to drink it and couldn’t believe how cold it was!! Drank like freakin camel!!

Yeah Florida water has two temperatures, warm and warmer. And beside that they get it from da swamps of Okekachobbee not from mountains, the water there has high ALKALINE levels where we have a neutral PH, i did some home water testing before and after filter changes. That why their e bread sucks... cellfish...

We had more days with rain this April (17) than dry ones. I'm so far behind on yard work and boat has been sitting at boatyard for 2 weeks waiting for a 48 dry spell so the bottom can get painted, ugghhhhh!!!

RI has a similar problem, all the freshwater reservoirs are very shallow. Horrible bagels and pizza.
We've got some deep, cool reservoirs here in NY...we've got that going for us!

I feel like I’m in Seattle. Hopefully the boat gets out Saturday. I’m sure the fluke crazies will be out in full force rain or shine.
Yeah but fluke bite won’t kick into full gear until the following week.....not missing much. Now the bass are still biting ??
As for the rain we are now missing practices because field is a mess. This season is looking depressing.

Call me what you like, I'm going fluke fishing on Saturday. :p

My boat has been 100% ready to go for a couple of weeks. I took this 'wet' time to get my yard work 100% done. The last thing on my list was to powerwash the house, fence, patio, and walkway. I did that on Sunday. Started out in a light rain and finished up six or so hours later. Last evening I sanded and swept the pavers.

I don't care if it is raining, sleeting, or snowing I'm going fluke fishing on Saturday!

Ok, maybe I'm a little crazy....o_O

I’ll be going out lol. Every customer I know and spoke with will be there.

You get a decent amount Of tornadoes down there?

in the 5-6 years I've been here - only 1 that I'm aware of - about 40 miles south of me
no - I'm mistaken - 2 - the one previously mentioned & 1 about 2 miles from me that ripped up a cornfield last year

They do put us under "watches" quite frequently but they never pan out. I think it has to do with the location. Eastern Shore is pretty narrow & you've got the Chesapeake Bay on one side (huge body of water) & the Atlantic on the other. Not a lot of land for a tornado to form on.

They do seem to get a fair amount on the mainland & along the North Carolina/Virginia border.
