Rods, Pins, Screws - 3 to 5 in hospital, 5 to 7 acute rehabilition facility - 2 months for full (?) recovery.
Basically rebuilding my spine.

Finally came across some free firewood down here. Got 8 loads of either black locust or pecan plus some maple and cherry. I'm hoping to get at least 2 cords out of this.

Nothing better than locust, I miss it dearly because it burns hot as hell, and on a cold morning, it's sooooo easy to split!!

Bayard arboretum had a fallen locust tree and I was able to get in with a pass allowing me to take the wood for burning.

It was the best firewood I ever had.

I was out of town for work a couple of days this week and was too busy yesterday to load up the sunporch with enough wood to get through the storm
Now Im sitting here listening to the wind howl outside with the cold air and trying to psyche myself up to go out and do it

Yes, it's a mess. Since the previous firepit died I haven't paid much attention to it, just keep chucking scraps on the pile until I get the new pit organized.

But when I cut up the old fence for kindling I was neat about it.
