Whats on tonights Menu

Grandson's 18th Birthday Party. Cooked up 80 pounds of crawfish and fixings. It was delicious. We had a couple of tables and just poured everything on each table.

where ya get the craw fish from?
Hi Cany. Louisiana Crawfish Company. We have been getting them for 20 years. They fly them in on Southwest and deliver them right to your house in a styrofoam container. If you get them the same day you plan to cook them, there are only a few dead. Wait a day, pop the top for air exchange but keep them chilled and you will get more dead but completely acceptable. Must rinse them before cooking and have a big pot and burner. We put potatoes, artichokes, shrimp, onions and chorizo in the pot with their spicy seasonings.

Many years ago and the grandkids still want them a couple times a year.

Thank you Sir

OK, sorry, I only asked because most people, including many of the stores that sell smoked salmon, call it Lox. Lox, a Yiddish word, is pickled salmon, usually made with the leftover bits and pieces of salmon that are left after taking the fillet. It’s kinda of like pickled Herring. When I had the smoke fish business we made Lox, and Gravlox, a traditional Scandinavian dish.

last time I was in Richmond at my brother's house I picked it up from an excellent Jewish Bagel /Deli Shop along with White Fish & a dozen Everythings..............

No good Jewish Deli here on the Eastern Shore. I've only seen one temple.

More Epicopalian, Baptists & Protestants.

I've only seen 1 Catholic Church.
