It’s actually hard to find a great steak place though.

Sad but true. Luger's in Brooklyn which was AMAZING 40 years ago, now has a horrible reputation...

I LOVE "Bones" in Buckhead, outside of Atlanta, but my last visit there was over 25 years ago so I wonder if they've slipped too...

I’ve eaten in Luger’s twice aways back; first was excellent, second sucked. You make reservations weeks in advance and the best that you can do is 5 in the afternoon on a Saturday.
If you’re in Bayside or Manhattan give Uncle Jacks a try; expensive but excellent all the time.

I've never been a Lugers fan myself. I like Pace's Steak House on 347 in Hauppauge. It's like a mile from my house and their marinated porterhouse is an excellent steak. It's been there for decades.
