True. But because of the test they were willing to tell us that a large feline was able to contract it. If that's possible it might also be possible for small felines to contract it. So it's something we will need to keep an eye on. Because if that turns out to be the case we're all going to have to quarantine our house cats and start shooting strays.
Viruses mutate. Like everything else it's how they survive. It's how "ordinary" Corona became COVID-19. It could mutate into something our pets can carry. I'm sure
@Roccus7 will tell me better, but I think that's also the reason it's hard to come up with a vaccine or treatment is because it's a moving target going in a random direction.
