won't the roots undermine the mortar?
I've always heard that about ivy. Don't know if it's true...........

One other thing. If you're burning wood using that chimney - you could gt a spark out of the chimney that lands in the dormant wisteria (potential fire?).

No we don’t use it , it’s from a old green house that’s been long gone. I was going to remove it, but I like the wisteria vine idea better ????

Had almost the whole line of Arborvitae installed, but have to remove some cement and a old footing for the greenhouse ? And before you comment that they are planted crooked, they are straight, wind was crazy when I took the picture !

It’s too small to make it worthwhile, and besides I already have a outdoor fireplace ????

Got the footings and cement out, and Pre drilled all the cement around the chimney to make it easier to break up and planted the last two Arborvitae in that row. ?

It won’t keep them away, but it won’t attract them either. This was mainly made for safety for small children at playgrounds in case they fell off the swing or slide.

I have an 1890's Victorian Chimney from Britain in my garden that the Brit gave me - 1st thing anyone visiting notices & comments on. And it's not "Oh! Everyone has one of those in the garden."
