tell ya - starting to feel the benefits of having quit tobacco 2.5 years ago - I could smell this all over the property today no matter how far I was from it - never had that happen before it had about a dozen butterflies on it until I raised the camera to take a picture............

There was a big azz bee on the last one which also took off as I raised the camera. What's with this insect shyness?

Tomorrow it moves to its new home in Ridge, it has nice flowers but otherwise I think it’s a blah plant. Giving it to my daughters boyfriend’s mother.

Those coneflowers look like they’re growing perfectly. I have some starting to come back from last years plantings. Hopefully they start to spread a bit.

oh they definitely will - you cab help them along in that regard - don't cut them back right away - let the flower heads fully develop the seeds - once you can run your fingers across the heads & they begin shedding seeds - then take 'm down & knock all of the seeds off of the head back into the garden - sorta Johnny Appleseed like

also find it best to do the first weeding of the season a little late - let's any seeds that germinated & started to grow to look more like their parents so you don't mistakenly pull them out as weeds - let them start to form the leaves so you can distinguish them from the weeds
