Matzohpizza lost almost every willow tree by the mid 60s from all the hurricanes back then, Donna, Carol, Diane, etc. Then the yellow jackets would arrive !

Power in Bellerose Terrace came back on at 6:15 this morning. I could hear the cheering and clapping while I was brushing my teeth in the dark. Tried the bathroom light and SCORE!

I just crossed the neighborhood and it's bad. No chance we will all be back up by Saturday as they assured. There are poles down everywhere. Worse than Sandy. Here's a big one that feel a few houses down.

Just got power back Thursday at 10:45 pm. It went out Tuesday at 1:30 pm.

Hey I've joined the crowd. Generator kicked on about 3 hours ago, quickly went off, came back on and just, stopped for good a few minutes ago. No reason for a power loss, at least Isaias-related. What's "intriguing" is that the entire peninsula went out, but not the towns at the head of the peninsula, which implies they were doing some distribution work, probably working on the switching station.

Hope you all get your juice back sooner than later. LIPA has had a miserable track record the past few years and Mother Nature seems to be on a rampage. I can't recommend a standby generator enough. Yeah it's a big budget bite, but nothing soothes like the dulcet tones of your generator kicking in 3 seconds after the house goes dark...

We just came back on yesterday at 3PM, a good 48 hours. This was one heck of a storm; power lines and trees down all over the place in western suffolk county. Haven't seen it this bad since sandy.

Thanks dsedy. I'm good but I'm pissed. They knew this thing was coming so why no out of state help? I remember when Sandy hit there were trucks here from Canada. I have a huge hazard on the side of my house and they have yet to even be here to see it!

My Son is also in Happague, no power & keeps getting an error message when trying to contact the power company. Last contact they had was when they were told power would be on by last Wednesday morning. Lucky we had power & freezer space for all ,their frozen food.
