Weather

Thanks dsedy. I'm good but I'm pissed. They knew this thing was coming so why no out of state help? I remember when Sandy hit there were trucks here from Canada. I have a huge hazard on the side of my house and they have yet to even be here to see it!

That is horrible you and others are still out of power! 2 days here was brutal at night with no AC. I did see a few out of state trucks (Altec) from Michigan driving around East Northport and Greenlawn. But those trucks and the PSEG trucks were very far between and I only spotted a few on Wednesday when I was driving around for 3 hours trying to get cell phone service! Totally unprepared for this one.

every time these type of storms pop up, there seems to be a less than alarmIng kind of readiness in effect... cause it wasn’t at hurricane level, seems it wasn’t a reason to worry for them. Florida dosent fool around like this... VOTE ‘EM OUT...

My Son in Happague got it back on this afternoon.

That's great for him. We will get it here eventually. I wish I could clear up the pool but no 220 on my generator. If there was a dead body at the bottom I couldn't see it.

The good news is that we finally got power back on Monday. The bad news is it went out again this morning and is expected to be back up 10pm. In addition one of the trees that was destroyed by the storm fell the rest of the way and shook the house. I walked past that 20 times yesterday getting ready for the tree removal guys! Time to start up the generator and get out the fans. This sucks!

Once again, the weatherman is wrong, at least this time on the "good" sense. Said we wouldn't get more than 0.8" of rain this AM, something we desperately need. Well so far it's been 1.21" of welcomed water.

Really pouring right now and I'm watching a collection pool for the culvert I made under the path to the boat fill up with water, something I've never seen. Had I known we were going to get this much rain this late in the day I would have taken the cars out of the garage to let Mother Nature wash 'em...

LOL, power just went back on after being out for 10 min...

5/8” Sunday and 1/2” during yankee rain delay. I collect it for the gardens from my boat scuppers. Zoysia doesn’t need chemicals or hardly any water!

Quick, you still got time ... pull the cars out and lather them up! Should be ending in about an hour for ya. Then clear blue sky’s for the rest of the week!!

It was pretty much over then.

FYI, a propah Maineah Cah Showah doesn't involve any soap. Wash our cars?? We live off a dirt road, talk about a case for St. Jude!!! It's just nice to rinse the dust off once in a while so it doesn't cake on and start weighing down the car.
