1996 Privateer Renegade I/O to Outboard Conversion

Thanks ..... first trip went pretty well ..... I have a few issues to address, nothing major. I was really happy with the way the boat sat in the water and the speed at 4000 rpms was 30 mph. That's where I hoped it would be. I am going to have to put a few hours in getting used to the handling ..... trim settings, motor height with the jack plate, etc. I have no cleats or rod holders on the boat yet. That's tomorrow's project.

I never counted you out, just that you seemed to have fallen out of the limelight, now we know why,I'm very sorry to hear about your illness.
You are on the mend, so I wish you Godspeed.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Looking forward to you posting again.

I took it light hearted no problem. It was my wife not me... But of course when your partner goes down that means you have all to do.... God has blessed us and is healing her....

I see Capt 13 and others have been busy with builds.. Looks great.
As I stated once, I talk to her (boat) everyday and set in her once a week...haha

Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving.......

I apologize for assuming it was you that was ill, I hope your wife is doing better, My wife has had breast cancer twice and so far it hasn't come back, but what she went through treatment wise, has had lasting side effects, she lost her hearing 10 yrs ago and underwent surgery for a cochlear implant, I can't put into words the joy that came over her face when they activated the device and she could hear sounds again, it took her 2 years of remapping her brain to adjust to a new way of hearing. we just replaced her old unit 5 days ago with the latest and greatest receiving device. God does not give us things he thinks we can't handle.

Looking forward to see what you have instore for us.

Small steps at a time and I was on the Grover today. Big day for me.... I have a few pics of where I left off and boy what a mess she was in and still is. I have some cleaning to do before I can build... so no words for the first pic you can guess which one is the as she was pic... Oiled the wood and was much needed... some random pics to catch up and then more cleaning and one step at a time....

The Old Teak , the new Sapele and Mahogany blend very well together.
